Lavender and Turquoise Walk

The tones of gray, pale turquoise and pink will prevail ~ Christian Dior

I love spring. I love the way the flowers look, the way the sun is extra golden, and how the birds sing louder.

Today Z and I took a walk.

Visiting my parents in Peachtree City, we can actually walk on the road in the subdivision and the gentle golf cart paths in Peachtree City, Georgia.

In Atlanta, my town home complex that I live in is busy and I can’t amble on the road there. Busy city-goers are returning from harried days of work and are speeding through the skinny road to get to their town home. Now.

I usually keep Z in her stroller there.

In Peachtree City, I let her walk and explore more freely. This subdivision is slow, gentle, tame. More people say hello, walk slower, smile bigger. The trees are taller; the air is clearer; the day seems longer.

One of my favorite photos from today: Z grabbed onto me to give me a hug. I’m wearing purple and pink – she’s wearing turquoise and lavender.

So Z’s hair is in the awkward stage where you have to decide whether to keep cutting her hair into bangs forever, or just be patient and wait for the bangs to pass. I’m trying to wait – problem is you have to constantly keep it clipped back or tied back, or head-banded back, but it’s ok.

I love the messy high pony tail. It’s so happy and bouncy.

I love the way the tendrils of hair are playing with the wind.

Oh-so-touchable!

I will never tire of seeing how our shadows change and lengthen daily.

I love how it looks like she always knows where she’s going. Confidence!

I told her to look at the tree. Its almost like the tree’s telling her, You have a Long ways to go to be big like me!

Love the quote below…

“It is He who made the earth tame for you – so walk among its slopes and eat of His provision – and to Him is the resurrection.” (Quran 67:15).
