Captain Z

“Aerodynamically, the bumble bee shouldn’t be able to fly, but the bumble bee doesn’t know it so it goes on flying anyway. ” ~ Mary Kay Ash.

My husband found a great Amazon deal to the National Museum of Commercial Aviation close by to us. Since Z loves anything to do with airplanes, we figured it would be a good place to take her. This place was like a hidden gem and hope to go back soon again! There was an amazing children’s room with all sorts of aviation goodies!

It was decorated beautifully with an aviation theme – this was one of Z’s favorite toys there.

We liked browsing through these airplane books – at the library, I can’t find enough. Lots of tractor books, but not enough airplane books.

They had a dress-up corner with pilot costumes, goggles, and hats! My father bought her a pilot  hat from Europe so we didn’t buy this one here.

They had a kid-friendly airplane simulation computer game for children. Z liked this too but got distracted by all the other goodies. The speakers naturally played the sound of the airplane’s engine – Z loves the sound of engines!

She loved this cockpit here – it’s real. She cried when we left and we had to physically remove her from the seat!  We shouldn’t bother with Disney Land – we should just take her here!

She enjoyed steering.

Don’t these buttons look yummy?

Time to go! Love the father-daughter photo! So we left with this shirt – Pilot in Training!

More images below ~ Hope to visit this place soon again! If you’re in the area, do stop by and visit. It’s fun for children & adults alike!

“Do they not see the birds controlled in the atmosphere of the sky? None holds them up except God. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.” (Quran 16:19).
