The Finger…

I miss Z doing what I call “The-Finger-Walk.” It’s the walk that little kids do before becoming big kids. Independent kids. It’s the walk in which they cling ever-so-tightly to your hand, your arm, (anything!) to walk. And then all of a sudden, they’ve graduated to The Finger Walk in which all they’re holding onto is your finger.

Confidence grows. Finger grip loosens.

And then they’re off.

They’re walking…or at least trying to!

Goodbye baby! Toddlerdom here we come!

“God has created every [living] creature from water. And of them are those that move on their bellies, and of them are those that walk on two legs, and of them are those that walk on four. God creates what He wills. Indeed, God is over all things competent.” – Quran 24:45

  1. My 11 month old is doing the bear crawl now. He went from combat crawl, regular crawl, to bear crawl. He is the only one out of my four children that did this. Now, he is trying to stand up on his own, which I have caught him doing once. Next step is walking. My baby is growing to quickly!
