Spooktacular Food Truck Event

“I’m a reflection of the community.” – Tupac Shakur.

I love living in a town house – it’s the perfect size for a couple, a little growing family, and more!

Love that it’s a house but still has all the good stuff. I had visitors come recently who called my house a little doll house! Funny, but true. One day I’ll take some photos of my house and share.  I do have some of Z’s room though!

Our HOA had an event in which there was food truck and the kids dressed up in their costumes. I honestly didn’t know so many children existed in my neighborhood till then! There were dressed up dogs, dressed up children, and people generally having a good time and sharing treats with the little ones. I liked that the treats weren’t all candy; there were glow in the dark bracelets, pipe cleaner spiders decorating lollipops (creative!), and little smiley face sticks.

Here are a few of my favorite images below of my neighbors.

I loved this little boy dressed as a monkey.

Doesn’t this family have some great Jurassic Park spirit?

I liked this ferocious shark outfit for this dog. I thought it was funny when one child pointed out the dog and said ‘dolphin!’ Good try!

I loved this stylish new mom with her baby in festive orange and her dog dressed as a banana. I loved how effortless she looked with her baby in a wrap.

I had to get a closer look at the baby!

For more images, see below! Hoping for more fun events in my community ~ it was great to meet so many new people and to re-see the people I already knew!

About Doodling Through Life

I doodle. All the time. Doodling helps me make sense of the world around me. When I doodle, whether it be swirls or figurines, I am transformed to a world in which my doodles live, and my thoughts become clear. My mind breathes. Through my art medium of pencils, paint, potting soil, and pixels, I thrive. I am a teacher and have taught 2nd grade in Fulton County Schools in Atlanta, Georgia for 4 years. I am currently a Stay-At-Home-Mommy to a ___ daughter (she was born in June 2010—you can do the math !) and a ___ preschooler (she was born November 2012), an an infant (August 2017) who is exploring my creative outlet via the aforementioned 4 P’s! So far, I’m an author whose book Lailah’s Lunchbox was published in 2015 via Tilbury House Publishing. I have 2 new picture books projected for 2019: Amira's Picture Day (Holiday House, 2019) and Let Me Show You The Way (Eerdmans, 2019)! I’m an Atlanta based children-family-lifestyle photographer on weekends. Thank you for stopping by!
