The Parsons Family

What happens when three siblings each have a baby in the same season? — You have a photosession of course!

My college friend Alexis (the one with the gorgeous curly hair) reached out to me about a photosession this spring as her baby Aurora was meeting her cousins for the first time! Alexis’s husband and his two siblings each had a baby and I was excited and honored to have the opportunity to capture this beautiful family below. It was so fun to reconnect with Alexis after all these years and my first question to her via email was “Does your baby have curly hair?!” Aurora does have some beautiful golden fuzz and her boy cousins Asher and Hunter were adorable as was her older cousin Avery!

I typically photograph smaller families, so it was a good opportunity for me to photograph this big family. Each baby took turns getting nursed by their mother, so after all the babies were fed, we managed to get everyone together for a family photo. The grandparents were soaking up the babies and when I spoke to Grandma, she commented how neat it was that each of her 3 children were different ages, but their babies all happened to be the same age!

I  loved getting some images and memories with the grandparents below! Too hard to choose just a few so enjoy!

18 Month Photosession

“There is an endearing tenderness in the love of a mother to a son that transcends all other affections of the heart. “- Washington Irving

Below are some images of this beautiful mother and son duo! I have captured this little one since he was a few days old so it’s been a true joy to see him grow and to watch mom celebrate the days with him.

Please click here to see how far they’ve come! This mom just emailed me a couple of days ago as she ordered some holiday cards on Minted.com and was approached by the personnel to see if our photos could be featured. How exciting!

I have some more photos I may try to share later and some of my family moments these past couple weeks, but have run out of photo space (the joy of running a photo blog!). Once I’ve added more photo-space, I hope to be blogging some more images soon. Spring is approaching and I’m looking forward to some more sunshine images and an allergy-free season! I am looking to open bookings for spring on March 4th and/or 11th! Message me if you’re interested!

Below, this mom and son braved a chilly wintry day, but when I see these images, I don’t remember the cold. I see golden warmth! What do you see?

Fela’s One Year Photo Session!

I had the opportunity to take Fela’s one year photos last week! This is my last summer session! I may be scheduling photosessions in the fall and will keep you posted. If you think Fela looks a little familiar, you are right as he is related to Jasiah, a previous little client of mine! To see Jasiah’s one year photo session click here.

Like his cousin Jasiah, Fela started walking early! He was running before he even turned 1!  I love photographing smaller children and seeing them mature from a sleepy newborn into a squirmy smiley six month old to a running one year old is a beautiful feeling! I got to see Fela’s cousin Jasiah morph from a six month told a toddler and I hope I get to see Fela mature too!

Enjoy Fela’s session below!

One Year Old Session!

It’s a magical blessing to see your baby grow, but it passes somewhat in a haze! When I get to photograph repeat clients, I really see how they grow. Here are a few of this mommy-baby duo from a sleepy newborn on a spring day to an alert 6 month old in the fall to their one year old birthday session in April! I feel privileged to have photographed their motherhood/infanthood journey thus far!

I love the joy these two exude and the comfort this little (who is so rapidly growing!) one seeks in his mother’s arms.

Newborn Photosession!

Living in Atlanta and being a photographer has its challenges in spring, mainly the possibility of rainy showers! I was lucky in that the Saturday I took these images, the day proved to be sunny and cloudy and with a cool breeze whereas every day surrounding it was quite stormy!

A was 4 weeks old and K, a first-time mom, had a radiant smile! Grandma, K, and A had a peaceful session outside. I believe newborns really enjoy the outdoors and are quite soothed by the sounds of the breeze, birds, and they love the fresh air!

A’s grandmother was quick to point out Aubrey’s perfect swirl of hair on his head, and once I noticed it, it was so mesmerizing in real life and on camera!

My favorite photos are those of parents and grandparents with the baby as you can really see the love they have for their little one.

Farah’s Birthday Photosession!

Last year, I had the opportunity to photograph Reema’s maternity session and this year I got to photograph Reema and Khalid with their baby Farah!
